Bzzzzzzzzz

The busy Boo-Bees are back with the buzz. I bet your wondering why we have been missing in action, right!? Well, it's only because our TOTALLY AWESOME team of 14 MAGNIFICENT woman have been pounding the pavement training and raising some SERIOUS money to end breast cancer.

Take a look......

&<span class=

Heather, Nichole, Marissa & Meagan organized a "Breast & Beer" that was held at the Center Square Fire House back in May. A different twist on your traditional beef & beer. Chicken breasts & homemade sides were served along with the obvious (all you can drink beer!) A DJ played tunes for those who cared to dance the night away. AMAZING raffles were displayed which helped us pull in a a whopping $3,000!

Go BIG or go home, right!?

In June Brenda hosted Painting for a Cure at the Mud Shack in North Wales, PA. The studio was open and supporters were invited to paint breast cancer ribbons.

Call Me Cupcake made a special appearance....

Taste testers were on hand....

Refreshments were served (for a donation of course) and raffles that were donated from local businesses were available to purchase.

A few weeks ago Camille, Chantal. Lindsay & Abby were the hostess with the mostess. These lovely ladies served up a fantastic flapjack breakfast at Applebees in Havertown, PA.

Besides plugging away at our individual donations these are just a few of the ways we as a team are ONLY$150 away from earning 10th place in the Philadelphia TOP 10 TEAMS! If nothing else, we need to earn our bragging rights. So if you have been hesitating in donation to our team now is the time. Nothing better than some healthy competition for a good cause. The trick will be earning our way up to #1 and staying there. IT'S ON PEOPLE!

The Ta-Ta Sisters have been busy boo bees! Get it?

Abby embarked on the walk as a request from her Grandmother in law (Joan Files). Joan was a huge supporter of Abby when she participated in the 2010 SGK 3 Day. They look forward to forming a team for next years walk and forming a Mother's Day family tradition!

Philly Race for the Cure
Part of the team @ Cookies for the Cure

Others were busy preping for the largest bake sale in town!

Cookies for the Cure was held last weekend. (About $500 was raised.)
A little glimpse inside at the sweetness we had to offer!

We are 35% of the way there! Our team goal is to raise $29,900.00.
We have achieved $10,896.00.
With tonight's Breast and Beer in the wings
I am confident that we will surpass that in no time at all!

Shameless Plug: $30 per ticket $50 per couple.
YES! You CAN purchase tickets and the door.
Be there or be square.

Many thanks to our donors and all of our loyal friends and family who constantly support our efforts. High Five's to each and every one of you Ta-Ta Sisters who focus, and keep going. None of this would be possible if we were not for all of us coming together to make a difference.

Side note: Our team t-shirts were designed at CustomInk.com. They have a little contest called the "Ink of the Week." You post your picture the best one wins a $100 credit towards the next purchase. We all know that the Ta-Ta Sisterhood shirts are the best around, am I right? Clearly not, because we didn't win. BOO I am fairly confident it was because I failed to tell the universe to stop OVER HERE and vote for us. Oh well, better luck next time. NO ONE can outdo our 3-Day shirts. You can bet your bippy on that one,YO!

The Race Is On!

Alright, listen up people. It's time to put our fundraising efforts into high gear over the next two weeks. We could be rewarded with an iPod touch customized with a Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure designed case to document our journey.

With every donation we get, we are one step closer to a future without breast cancer. One step closer to bringing hope to our daughters and grandaughters to ensure that everyone gets the live time they deserve. From the first $585 to the $2,300 or more we raise before the 3-Day, we'll be making a huge impact.

Can the Ta-Ta Sisters be 13 of the 50 3-Day for the Cure walkers to add $585 to their 3-Day fundraising account between April 30th- May 4th, regardless of the current fundraising balance? YES WE CAN! Why $585? Because that is the average number of miles a 3-Day walker following the suggested training plan will walk in preparation for the 3-Day, wow!

Hurry up, time is precious. If you have been thinking about contributing to our efforts but haven't gotten around to it donate TODAY!

S-U-C-C-E-S-S!

It's All About You

If your looking for a quick fundraising boost listen and learn. It will take some planning , thought and organization but in just 5 hours (open house style) and roughly 13 supporters you to will watch your fundraising thermometer sky rocket.

All you have to do is:

Invite pretty much everyone you know to your house. It is important that you ask your guests to leave their wallets at home but bring unwanted jewelry, old, unworn or broken gold, silver and platinum jewelry and turn it into CASH. Have a Gold Home Party buyer sit at your kitchen table and purchase that old class ring, broken necklace, sterling silver flatware set, silver coins, even dental gold. Watch as your family and friends scream like giddy school girls when they are given large amounts of CASH.

With the cold hard cash that the guest were given they will be lining up to purchase raffle tickets. (Raffles were donated by vendors or local business owners.) Guest will still think they are rich and want to take a take a spin on the around the world shopping extravaganza that will be set up on the entire first floor of your home.

Get vendors and local business to help you out.

Arbonne offered samples of their all natural, highly addictive protein bars & energy drinks. Right up any 3-Day'ers alley! Thirty One had a ginormous display set up to touch and feel. The consultant added a personal touch and sold small and large pink rosettes.

Tasty treats were provided by Yorktown Cookie Co. Owner, Lucia came up with some very clever ideas this year keeping up with the spirit of the 3-Day. Over The Top Cupcakes donated 28 cupcakes in a jar. We didn't have ONE left.

Don't forget to sell your team swag, it's the icing on the cake!

Ta-Ta car magnets, tags & t-shirts were on hand for to purchase.

Angel Of Grace Bracelets were available and donations for the PHONE-raiser were accepted.

Don't forget to serve light refreshments, keep it very simple.

{Approximately $900 was raised at this event, crazy but true!}

GOOD LUCK , let us know if you take our advice.
